What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

We used different technologies and different kit to make our final media product.
This is a list of what we used:

  • Camera and Tape-To film the footage for our final product.

  • Tripod- To do steady shots and to film from above and below.

  • Microphone- To record sound so that you can hear it better.

  • Bag- To carry all the equipment.

  • iPhone- Used as a prop in our opening sequence and to take screenshots for our evaluation

  • Adobe- To edit the clips together and complete our final film.

  • Freeplay Music- Where we found our music to use in the final film.

  • Free Sound Effects- A website where we found our sound effects for the explosion.

  • YouTube- We used for inspiration, our M.G.M clip and our explosion clip as we heard we could use only minimum footage we did not film ourselves that is non copyright.

  • Blogger- To write our research, planning and evaluation.

  • Action DVD's- We watched and evaluated Action films to show we researched our genre before we made our film.

I have learnt from using Adobe that the editing is a very long and hard process, the software is quite complicated to use at first and we struggled to cut clips and add sound, I have now learnt how to film footage, then edit it and then add transistions and titles to make an opening sequence. I have also learnt about file sizes and quality of the actual footage, we had to experiment with different types of save files to see what quality was the best but had the smaller file. I also learnt that recording sound so it is clearly heard is quite difficult and without a long pole to reach where the sound is coming from it is very hard. Overall, I have learnt lots of different techniques to use when constructing the film.

Here are some pictures of me and some equipment we used:
